Inspector General of Police Sarbendra Khanal has said that if any police person commits a mistake then try to correct them by taking them as your own. Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the Area Police Office building in Muglin on Saturday, he said that there could be some shortcomings in the police organisation, which needs to be improved. “Not everyone within the organisation will be perfect, if there are any minor shortcomings, please do help correct them,” he said. Chair of Icchyakamana rural municipality Geeta Kumari Gurung demanded that the personnel in the area police office needs be increased as it is a remote area and busy highway as well. Every ward should have a police unit, she said. Chair of Chitwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Raju Shrestha said law and order was essential for bringing prosperity to the country. The building is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 65 million and will be completed within one year, said DSP Shanker Silwal.
