Information and Communication Technology Minister, Gokul Prasad Baskota has demanded Rs 700 crore bribe, through a telephone conversation. The recorded audio has been made public today. Moreover, audio is widely shared on online / social media.
Baskota is heard bargaining for kickbacks with the agent Vijay Prakash Mishra, of a Swiss company. Negotiation is related to the purchase of security print press for the government.Besides, the Minister can also be heard using vulgar language for other employees.
It is is known that, Baskota is assured to get the shares of the commission once the deal is done, from the audio recording . He has been dwelling at Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s residence in Balkot ,Bhaktapur.
