Kathmandu— Home Minister Sudhan Gurung met with the family of Rabindra Mehata, a 22-year-old who died in TU Teaching Hospital after being injured in clashes at Kaptangunj. The meeting took place at TUTH and was followed by discussions with representatives from Hindu and Muslim communities to address communal misunderstandings and security issues.
Meeting with Mehata's Family
Sudhan Gurung, the Home Minister of Nepal, visited TU Teaching Hospital (TUTH) where he met with Rabindra Mehata’s family. Mehata, a young man from Devangunj Rural Municipality-3, succumbed to injuries sustained in clashes at Kaptangunj earlier this week.
Community Discussions
Following the meeting with Mehata's family, Home Minister Gurung held separate discussions with representatives from both Hindu and Muslim communities. The talks centered on addressing incidents of communal misunderstanding, disputes, peace and security issues, as well as fostering social harmony across Nepal.
