Kathmandu— Khaga Raj Bhatta was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Nepal's Sudurpashchim Province on Monday, marking a step forward in the formation of a provincial government. The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Province Chief Najir Miya during a special ceremony at the province office. Bhatta, who represents the Nepali Communist Party within the Province Assembly, secured support from the CPN UML party to assume the position.

Appointment and Swearing-In

The swearing-in ceremony took place earlier today, formally appointing Khaga Raj Bhatta as Chief Minister. Province Chief Najir Miya oversaw the administration of the oath of office and secrecy, solidifying Bhatta’s role as leader of Sudurpashchim Province.

With the swearing-in complete, the process to form and expand the provincial Cabinet is now underway.
