Kathmandu— Bollywood actress Pooja Chopra visited the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu today, performing a special puja and rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva. The visit came as part of a pilgrimage during Saun, a month traditionally devoted to the deity, and coincided with a public holiday that drew large crowds to the famous shrine. A total of 235 devotees, including Chopra, participated in the special puja after each paying Rs 2,100.
Temple Visit Details
Chopra performed the puja and other associated rituals at Pashupatinath Temple on Wednesday. The Pashupati Area Development Trust confirmed her participation in the religious ceremony.
The temple saw a significant number of visitors throughout the day, with devotees beginning to arrive early in the morning. This surge was attributed both to the auspicious timing within the month of Saun and the presence of a public holiday.
Recent Celebrity Visits
Chopra is not the only Bollywood star to visit Pashupatinath recently. Last week, actress Shilpa Shetty also performed a special puja and rituals at the temple, paying homage to Lord Shiva.
The Pashupatinath Temple continues to be a popular destination for religious pilgrims and celebrity visitors alike.
