Kathmandu— A flash flood in the Bhotekoshi/Trishuli River has caused significant damage to Dhunge Bazar, a marketplace located on the riverbank in Nepal’s Nuwakot district. The flooding occurred recently and impacted businesses and infrastructure within the bazaar. A reporting team from TRN was dispatched to document the extent of the damage through photographs taken by photojournalist Sujan Gurung.
Extent of Damage
Dhunge Bazar, situated along the Trishuli river bank in Nuwakot, sustained considerable damage as a result of the flash flood. The marketplace experienced significant disruption due to the rising waters and strong currents.
The TRN dispatched a team to the affected area for field reporting, capturing photographic evidence of the devastation.
