Kathmandu— Following devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River region, the Nepali government has designated three collection points for relief materials intended for victims. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) announced that donations arriving via air will be received at the National Emergency Warehouse at Tribhuvan International Airport, while land-based contributions can be delivered to Nepal Army barracks in Battar, Nuwakot, and Baireni, Dhading. These materials will then be distributed based on assessed needs in the affected areas.

Relief Material Collection Locations

The NDRRMA specified that all air-transported relief goods should be dropped off at the National Emergency Warehouse located within Tribhuvan International Airport. For those delivering aid by land, Nepal Army’s Maithili Barrack in Battar, Nuwakot, and the Nepal Army Barrack in Baireni, Dhading, will serve as collection centers. The Authority emphasized that all relief materials should be delivered to these designated locations to ensure efficient distribution.

Contact Information for Donations

Individuals or organizations wishing to donate goods have been provided with contact information for each location. At the National Emergency Warehouse at Tribhuvan International Airport, WFP representative Shraddha Bhatta can be reached at 9841879222. For deliveries to Maithili Barracks in Battar, Abiskar of the Nepali Army is available at 9851234324, and Dilip Ghale (9851154226) can be contacted regarding donations to Baireni Barracks in Dhading. Donations may also be coordinated through respective district chief officers.

Financial Assistance Options

In addition to material goods, the NDRRMA has provided options for financial contributions. Those wishing to donate funds are encouraged to deposit them into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund through various banks including Himalayan Bank, Standard Chartered Bank Nepal, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Nepal Bank Limited, Global IME Bank, and Nabil Bank. QR codes have also been made available to facilitate these transactions.

The NDRRMA continues to coordinate relief efforts and encourages ongoing support from both domestic and international donors to assist those impacted by the Bhotekoshi floods.
