Kathmandu— The suspect in a fatal shooting at an In-N-Out restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Saturday. Three people were killed and seven others injured during the incident, which occurred around 2 p.m. local time. Police Chief Matthew Hicks identified the gunman as 24-year-old Chad Williams and confirmed that he acted alone.

Heroic Actions of Civilians

An off-duty state trooper and an armed citizen fired back at the shooter, causing him to divert from the restaurant. Police Chief Matthew Hicks commended their actions for preventing further casualties. 'We believe their actions helped drive the suspect away from the scene,' Hicks said.

Investigation Underway

Detectives are working to determine Williams' motives, with his family cooperating fully with law enforcement. Chief Hicks warned of misinformation spreading online and clarified that another man identified as the shooter had no involvement in the incident.

Lane Koehn, a witness at the scene, described seeing a person with an AR-style rifle emerge from the drive-thru. He saw an In-N-Out employee dragging another bleeding worker across the parking lot until paramedics arrived. Haley Dodaro and her mother witnessed people running out of the restaurant screaming after hearing about the shooting.
