The closing ceremony began with a tribute to Scotland's rich cultural heritage before transitioning into a vibrant showcase of India’s diverse traditions. Musicians and dancers from both nations collaborated in a unique 'jugalbandi' performance, symbolizing the baton pass from Glasgow to Ahmedabad.

India's Sporting Success

Despite fielding fewer athletes than in previous games, India finished fourth in the medals table with 39 total medals, including 13 gold, 17 silver, and nine bronze. This performance was particularly notable given that 30 of those medals were won in sports dropped from the Glasgow program.
