Authorities continue search and recovery efforts while also accounting for 28 missing Nepal Police personnel.

Extent of the Damage

As of 7:00 am local time Thursday, authorities had confirmed the deaths of 469 individuals across affected regions. Rasuwa district itself accounted for 12 fatalities, while Nuwakot reported 37 deaths. Dhading saw 33 bodies recovered from floodwaters. Gorkha recorded 44 deaths and Chitwan bore the brunt of the disaster with a staggering 178 confirmed fatalities.

The impact extended further west, with Tanahun district reporting 28 recovered bodies. Nawalparasi Bardaghat Purba district retrieved 110 bodies, and Nawalparasi Bardaghat Paschim accounted for an additional 27 deaths.

Missing Personnel

The floods have also impacted emergency responders, with Nepal Police reporting that 28 of their personnel are currently missing. The search for these officers is ongoing alongside efforts to locate and identify other victims of the disaster.
