The teams arrived with medical supplies and equipment, responding to a call for assistance following devastating floods that have left numerous individuals missing, including both Nepali citizens and foreign nationals. Nepal’s Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal stated that search, rescue, relief, and recovery efforts are the nation's current top priority.

International Response Mobilizes

The Indian team, comprised of eleven doctors, arrived in Kathmandu this morning carrying essential assistance materials before being deployed to the affected areas. Simultaneously, the Chinese team traveled by helicopter from Gyirong in China’s Xizang Autonomous Region and reached the disaster zone later Tuesday evening.

Government Prioritizes Rescue Operations

Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal affirmed that the Nepali government is utilizing all available resources to conduct search, rescue, relief, and recovery operations. He emphasized a particular focus on locating those who remain missing in the wake of the floods.
