Prime Minister Shah emphasized that human trafficking represents a 'blot on human civilization' and is increasingly organized as a global crime, necessitating enhanced cooperation among relevant agencies to combat its spread.

The government has registered a bill in Parliament to amend the Human Trafficking and Transport (Control) Act, 2007 to align with the Palermo Protocol, aiming to strengthen international cooperation in protecting trafficking victims.
