Kathmandu— Nepal's 'A' cricket team left Kathmandu last night en route to Australia to participate in the Top End T20 series. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) formally bid farewell to the 15-player squad on Sunday, with Anil Kumar Sah named as captain for the tournament. The series will see Nepal face a variety of opponents from across the cricketing world, providing valuable experience for emerging Nepali talent.

Tournament Schedule

Nepal 'A' is slated to begin its campaign against Northern Territory Strike on August 21st. Following this initial match, they will compete against Bangladesh High Performance on August 22nd. The team’s schedule continues with matches against Hobart Hurricanes Academy on August 24th, Australian Capital Territory on August 26th, Hyderabad Kingsmen Academy on August 27th, and Victoria CA-11 on August 29th.

Additional Practice Matches

In addition to the scheduled T20 matches, Nepal 'A' is also set to participate in a series of one-day practice games during their time in Australia. These include opportunities to play against New Zealand ‘A’, Tasmania, and South Australia, offering further competitive exposure for the team.

The Top End T20 series represents an important opportunity for Nepal’s emerging cricketers to gain international experience and develop their skills.
