Kathmandu, Sept 10 . Visiting Chinese Minister for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Baluwatar on Monday. Issues of bilateral interest and common concern featured during the meeting. PM’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs, Dr Rajan Bhattarai, informed the media that the Chinese Foreign Minister Yi and PM Oli expressed commitment to reach the multidimensional relations of the two countries to a new height. PM Oli recalled his State visit to China and said he was active to implement the agreements made during the visit. “We want to move forward based on the past agreement. And I hope your visit will also encourage the implementation of the agreements,” PM viewed during the meeting. Similarly, the Chinese Minister shared that China had given top priority to its relations with Nepal and was willing to expand the relations in addition to education, social and infrastructure development. PM Oli reiterated that Nepal was firm on One-China Policy and assured that Nepal would not allow the use of its territory against its neighbours. According to advisor, Dr Bhattarai, the Chinese Minister shared that there would be high level visit from China to Nepal in the appropriate time and preparation for it was underway.
