Today, we are not talking about this beautiful garden but we are focusing your attention towards the message that the garden is trying to give. This garden was built soon after Pakistan had shifted its capital from Karachi to Islamabad. Moreover, this garden has reflected the foreign relationship of Pakistan.
The garden has been playing an important role to bridge the gap between Pakistan and its associates as well. It has plays a very important role to promote the bilateral as well as multi lateral relation between the countries. Foreign presidents and government heads visiting Pakistan, reach the garden of Islamabad to plant at least a tree.
To the date, there are 130 trees planted in this garden, as a symbol of friendship. On February 9, 1979, the then Chinese Prime Minister, Chou En Lai, visited Pakistan. Many of the plants that were planted at that time have now become big trees. The Capital Development Authority has the responsibility of protecting all saplings.
