Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor breathed his last today, at the age of 67 after a two-year-long battle with cancer. He was admitted in H N Reliance hospital where he took his last breath. Now, taking to their social media handles, many Bollywood celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur, Taapsee Pannu, Jr NTR and others have mourned the untimely demise of the actor. His colleague and friend Amitabh Bachchan was the first one who shared the news on his twitter handle. Big B wrote, ‘Rishi Kapoor… gone… passed away. I am destroyed !’
The actor, who had charmed his way into millions of hearts with his scintillating debut in 1973’s ‘Bobby’, had been ailing for a while. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2018, he underwent treatment in New York for almost a year. In September 2019, he returned to India but was rarely seen in public since.
On Wednesday morning, the actor was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai after he complained of uneasiness.
