Turkiye, a key supporter of Syria’s current authorities, stated that the move will “lend momentum to efforts to strengthen Syria’s ties with the international community and to establish lasting security and stability in the country.” Qatar and Jordan also welcomed the development, expressing hope it would bolster stability and recovery initiatives. Saudi Arabia wished Syria further prosperity and progress in its reconstruction efforts, while Ukraine affirmed its consistent support for Syria's new government and people.

Expanding Diplomatic and Air Links

Alongside the lifting of sanctions, Syria is actively working to reintegrate into the international community through increased diplomatic outreach. On Monday, Damascus launched an English-language social media account for its foreign media department, signaling a desire to enhance communication with global audiences. Furthermore, Syrian Airlines announced plans to initiate regular direct flights from Damascus to Copenhagen and Vienna beginning September 21, aiming to strengthen air connections between Syria and Europe.
