Kathmandu— Chinese President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing on Thursday after attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and completing state visits to both Kyrgyzstan and Egypt. His entourage, including his wife Peng Liyuan, Cai Qi from the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, also returned on the same flight.
SCO Summit Highlights
The SCO Summit in Bishkek was a key diplomatic event for President Xi Jinping. The summit focused on regional security and economic cooperation among member states. During his visit to Kyrgyzstan, Xi met with local leaders to discuss bilateral relations and regional stability.
State Visits to Egypt
In addition to the SCO Summit, President Xi also conducted state visits to Egypt as part of his diplomatic tour. These meetings were aimed at strengthening economic ties and cooperation between China and Egypt in various fields including trade and investment.
