White House Arcade Games Spark Criticism Over Policy Priorities

ABC NEWS

Kathmandu— The White House has drawn criticism for launching a website featuring five arcade-style video games promoting President Donald Trump's policy agenda, with critics arguing the initiative prioritizes entertainment over addressing rising living costs and ongoing conflicts, including the war on Iran.

Policy Games Under Scrutiny

The White House unveiled five arcade-style games on its website, each designed to promote a different aspect of President Donald Trump's agenda. These include 'Build the Wall,' where players chase green figures toward a border wall; 'Rio Run,' a Snake-style game involving border crossers; 'Supply Line,' which challenges players to reject food items not meeting 'Make America Healthy Again' standards; 'Flappy Bill,' featuring a bald eagle carrying legislation; and 'Trump Savings Tycoon,' where players collect cash and gold bars for 'Trump Accounts.'

Critics have condemned the games as trivializing serious policy issues. Senator Matt Lesser wrote on X, 'Heating oil is near an all-time high but hey you can play Border Czar Tom Homan in a video game,' highlighting the disconnect between the administration's focus and economic realities.

The White House has not responded to the criticism, instead promoting the games with a 'CAN'T STOP WINNING' message on social media.
