Kathmandu— On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two significant projects across different states of India: the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport in Andhra Pradesh and the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre in Mysuru, Karnataka. The events underscored the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and cultural heritage.

Airport Inauguration

In Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh, PM Modi inaugurated the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram. The airport is named after a revered freedom fighter and features state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to provide a seamless travel experience for passengers. With railway projects worth approximately Rs 1 lakh crore underway in the state, Andhra Pradesh aims to bridge regional industrial hubs with national connectivity.

Cultural Youth Centre Dedication

Later in the day, PM Modi travelled to Mysuru, Karnataka, where he dedicated the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre. Built on a historic site sanctified by Swami Vivekananda’s stay in 1892, the centre aims to impart behavioural excellence and higher values to younger generations. The inauguration was attended by Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot.

PM Modi emphasized that India is rapidly moving forward due to the strength of its youth, highlighting the transformative role they play in various sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing, startups, and mobile phone production.
