The gathering included prominent figures such as Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, who discussed plans for floor interventions and urgent discussions on alleged financial irregularities related to the Ram Mandir donations.

Coordination Among Opposition Leaders

The meeting was attended by senior opposition leaders including Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, and other key figures like Mahua Moitra from Trinamool Congress and Ramjilal Suman from Samajwadi Party. They strategized on how to effectively manage floor interventions during the session.

Congress General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal also participated in the discussions, emphasizing the need for a unified approach to address pressing issues before Parliament.

Urgent Public Importance

Randeep Singh Surjewala, a Congress Rajya Sabha MP, submitted a Suspension of Business notice under Rule 267 in the Rajya Sabha. He sought an urgent discussion on alleged theft of Ram Mandir donations and financial irregularities linked to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Surjewala urged the Chair to suspend scheduled business to discuss this matter of urgent public importance, highlighting the need for immediate attention and accountability. He emphasized that the issue requires prompt action from the House.

Parliament is expected to witness continued confrontations as the Opposition presses its demands while the government aims to advance its legislative agenda during the Monsoon Session.
