Kathmandu— On the third Monday of Shrawan, devotees lined up early in the morning at the Pushupatinath Temple in Kathmandu. The sacred month of Shrawan is a significant period for Hindu worshippers who visit the temple every Monday to offer holy water, belpatra leaves, and prayers to Lord Shiva.

Annual Rituals at Pushupatinath

During the sacred month of Shrawan, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Hindu devotees make a pilgrimage to the Pushupatinath Temple. This year, as in previous years, worshippers arrived early on Monday morning to participate in the traditional rituals and offer their respects.
