Kathmandu— Non-Resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Nepal, Mohamed Maliki, met with Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal on Monday at the Ministry. The meeting focused on enhancing friendly relations between the two countries and exploring opportunities in agriculture, renewable energy, tourism, culture, transport infrastructure, training, and capacity building.
Meeting Agenda
During their discussion, Ambassador Maliki highlighted his visit to Nepal for a program organized by the Kathmandu-based Honorary Consulate of Morocco celebrating the 27th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne and National Day of Morocco. The meeting also covered potential cooperation in chemical fertilizer supply from Morocco to Nepal.
Future Collaboration
The two officials agreed on organizing a second meeting of the Nepal-Morocco Bilateral Consultation Mechanism at a mutually convenient date in Kathmandu. This mechanism aims to facilitate further dialogue and collaboration between both nations, which established diplomatic relations in 1975.
