Kathmandu— On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a weekly 'Mangal Milan' meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and other NDA leaders were present, along with BJP National President Nitin Nabin and newly joined NCPI MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay.

NCPI's First Attendance

Sudip Bandyopadhyay, a senior member of the recently formed Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI), attended the NDA meeting for the first time. He emphasized unity within NCPI and noted that three minority community leaders from his party had skipped last week's meeting due to alleged speculation about internal rifts.

Ministerial Addresses

During the meeting, Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted India’s recent Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and their strategic impact. Meanwhile, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, the Union Minister for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, discussed government initiatives aimed at developing the country's fisheries sector.

The meeting concluded with a speech by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju in the presence of Prime Minister Modi. The event took place amid ongoing political tensions during the Monsoon Session.
