Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge reiterated the demand for a parliamentary discussion on these issues.

Opposition Demands Accountability

Leader of Opposition (LoP) and Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge emphasized that Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah should address Parliament regarding recent incidents at Jantar Mantar. 'Our demand is that the Prime Minister and Home Minister come to the House,' Kharge said, adding, 'They should give their statement; we are ready to discuss.'

Congress MP Syed Naseer Hussain echoed these sentiments, stating that Shah must answer for the use of force against students during protests. He also called on Shah to address issues such as the theft of offerings made to Lord Ram and the status of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir.

Protest March by Opposition MPs

Opposition MPs, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, marched from the Gandhi statue at Prerna Sthal to Makar Dwar in Parliament to protest against Union Home Minister Amit Shah over 'police action' against CJP protestors on July 20th. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra demanded strict accountability from the central government for alleged police actions against student protesters, questioning who authorized the use of lathi charges and pellet guns.
