The average national rainfall over the past 24 hours was 15.7 millimeters, with only 58.2 millimeters recorded so far this August compared to the usual monthly average of 437.6 millimeters.

Monsoon Season Intensifies

The monsoon season in Nepal is known for its heavy rainfall, but this year's activity has been particularly intense. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology warns that the active monsoon conditions are likely to persist over the next few days, increasing the likelihood of further significant precipitation across various parts of the country.
