Kathmandu— On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a breakfast meeting at his residence for newly elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MPs and those who recently joined the party. The gathering included 37 parliamentarians from various backgrounds, with PM Modi offering guidance on parliamentary duties and youth engagement.

Guidance on Parliamentary Work

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of smooth functioning in Parliament during his meeting with BJP MPs. He advised them to spend at least one or two hours each day in the Parliament Library, underscoring the need for continuous learning and understanding of parliamentary processes.

Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney described the experience as 'wonderful,' noting that PM Modi shared valuable insights based on his extensive public service career.

Connecting with Youth

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal highlighted a specific piece of advice from Prime Minister Modi on building rapport with the younger generation. The Prime Minister advised MPs to 'listen carefully, understand them, and talk politely' when engaging with young people.

This guidance reflects PM Modi's emphasis on grassroots connectivity and understanding the concerns of Gen Z.

The breakfast meeting is part of Prime Minister Modi’s ongoing practice of interacting with BJP MPs during parliamentary sessions to exchange views and provide guidance.
