Xi Jinping Offers Condolences to Indonesia After Deadly Earthquake

Kathmandu— Chinese President Xi Jinping extended condolences to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Monday regarding the powerful earthquake that recently impacted Indonesia, resulting in both fatalities and significant property damage. The message from Xi expressed sorrow over the loss of life and offered sympathy to those affected by the disaster. He conveyed confidence in Indonesia’s ability to recover and rebuild under President Prabowo's leadership.

Expressions of Sympathy

Xi Jinping stated he was deeply saddened to learn about the earthquake’s impact, which caused serious casualties and property losses. The Chinese president sent his message on behalf of both the Chinese government and its people, offering condolences to those who perished and expressing sincere sympathy for the bereaved families and those injured.

The extent of damage and ongoing relief efforts were not detailed in the statement, but Xi expressed belief that Indonesia would overcome the disaster.
