Kathmandu— Nepali Prime Minister Balendra Shah arrived in Pokhara on Monday afternoon accompanied by his family for a personal vacation. He is staying at a resort in Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality-6, Kaski district. Assistant Chief District Officer Chitrangat Baral confirmed the visit, noting that security measures have been heightened despite the absence of any official engagements during the trip. The Prime Minister and his family traveled to Pokhara by road, with plans to continue their travels to Mustang on Saturday.

Family Focus Of Visit

The Prime Minister’s visit is strictly a private family outing, according to Kaski's assistant chief district officer Chitrangat Baral. He confirmed that no official programs or meetings are planned in conjunction with the trip. The focus remains on personal time for Shah and his family.

Local Hopes For Infrastructure Improvements

Residents of Astam, within Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality, have expressed hope that the Prime Minister’s visit will draw attention to local infrastructure needs. Shobhakar Adhikari, a local resident, stated that the community faces challenges with roadway connectivity and access to drinking water, and they anticipate these issues may be addressed following the visit of the country's leader.
