Trump Attacks Former Allies Carlson, Greene, and Massie

Kathmandu— Former U.S. President Donald Trump unleashed a series of insults on Friday against conservative journalist Tucker Carlson, as well as former Congress members Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie, branding them “losers” with no future in American politics. The outburst followed a recent meeting between the three critics, who have voiced concerns about the direction of U.S. policy, particularly regarding the war in Iran and the integrity of the political system itself. Trump’s comments were made via his Truth Social platform and targeted their perceived disloyalty and lack of influence.

Manifesto for a Third Party

The immediate trigger for Trump's tirade appears to be a meeting earlier this month between Carlson, Massie, and Greene. Following the gathering, Carlson publicly outlined a political manifesto asserting that the American political system is “totally incapable of responding to reality” and proposed exploring the creation of a third or multiple parties as a potential solution. He has also been critical of U.S. policy towards Iran, suggesting that Washington acts in the interests of Israel at the expense of its own sovereignty, telling RT last month, “I think America lost its sovereignty many years ago.”

Personal Insults and Accusations

Trump’s post was filled with personal attacks, dismissing Carlson as “totally irrelevant” and claiming he has a “very Low I.Q.” He suggested that despite repeatedly denying any political ambitions, Carlson may be considering a run for office, but would fail to gain traction, potentially only taking “a couple of points away” from the Republican ticket. Massie was labeled a “failed politician” and a “real JERK,” accused of voting against everything, while Greene was condemned as having transitioned from an “ultra conservative to a liberal ‘fool’” simply because Trump allegedly did not return her phone calls.

Reciprocal Criticism

The targeted figures quickly responded to Trump’s attacks. Greene characterized Trump as “a neocon puppet of Israel” and attributed his outburst to unfavorable polling data. Massie, on X (formerly Twitter), claimed that the former president was facing potential failure in upcoming November elections and suggested he should have listened to their concerns. Carlson has repeatedly denied personal political ambitions but says he would back any attempt to create a third party.

The exchange highlights growing divisions within the conservative movement and raises questions about the future of U.S. politics, particularly as the 2028 election cycle approaches.
