Bhotekoshi River Flash Flood Damages Buildings in Nuwakot District

Kathmandu— A flash flood in the Bhotekoshi River, originating in Rasuwa district, has resulted in damage to infrastructure in neighboring Nuwakot. The administrative building of the central prison and a security unit building belonging to the Nepal Police at Bidur Municipality-6 were both affected by the flooding. Photographs document the extent of the destruction.

Infrastructure Damage

The Bhotekoshi River’s flash flood caused damage to key government buildings in Nuwakot district. Specifically, the administrative building of the central prison sustained damage, as did a Nepal Police security unit building located within Bidur Municipality-6.

The extent of the damage is visually documented through photographs taken after the event.

The full impact of the flooding and subsequent recovery efforts are ongoing.
