On Tuesday, he visited the Norwegian Embassy in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, where he wrote a condolence message in the embassy's book, extending condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Nepal.

Tribute to King Harald V

Minister Khanal remembered King Harald V as a ‘rich monarch with a dignified and simple personality’. He highlighted that King Harald’s long-term dedicated service to Norway reflected his wisdom, humility, compassion, and unwavering loyalty to duty. 'His strong commitment to peace, dialogue, tolerance, and mutual understanding has left a legacy that will be remembered long after his reign,' Minister Khanal wrote in the condolence book.

Message of Solidarity

'In this hour of grave sorrow and national mourning, the Government of Nepal and the Nepali people stand with the Government of Norway and the Norwegian people,' Minister Khanal said in his message. This gesture underscores the diplomatic ties between Nepal and Norway and reflects a shared sense of loss over King Harald V’s passing.
