Kathmandu, Oct 12 (RSS): Family of Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) President Sharad Kumar Gauchan, who was shot dead in broad daylight in the capital on October 9, is to receive his dead body today.

The FCAN and Gauchan’s family denied receiving the dead body demanding prompt actions to the murderers, declaring Gauchan a martyr and guaranteeing security to the entrepreneurs.
According to Gauchan’s uncle Omkar Gauchan, they have agreed to receive the dead body when the Home Minister in a meeting with FCAN delegation was positive to declare Gauchan a martyr and assured to table the proposal in the cabinet.
Likewise, the Home Minister also pledged to provide full security to entrepreneurs.

FCAN Association Member Shiva Hari Ghimire informed that the mortal body of Gauchan will be kept at FCAN office in Bijulibazaar from 9.00am to 12.00 noon today for final tribute.
“The dead body of Gauchan will also be kept at Thakali Sewa Samaj, Balaju for the last homage today”, Ghimire informed.
FCAN has also said that they will enforce vehicular strike in different parts of Kathmandu for an hour today and halt traffic in main highways tomorrow in protest of the murder of Gauchan.
