Kathmandu October 23.The international-level Himalayan White Water Challenge-2019 is to take place in Sindhupalchowk. Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) is organizing the international competition in the Bhotekoshi River on November 26-28. Narayan Shrestha, Associate Treasurer of the NARA informed that this year’s Himalayan White Water Challenge programme is to take place in the Bhotekoshi River in Sindhupalchowk. Competitors representing different countries are participating in the event which has been annually taking place in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board since 2002. NARA has laid emphasis on wider publicity and promotion of Nepal’s adventurous rafting business to bring many tourists from across the globe in view of Nepal Tourism Year-2020. The competition will be held in four genres, namely Kayak Extreme Slalom, Downriver Race, Corporate Rafting Race and Water Cross. More than 400 rafters, guide and audience of adventurous tourism of 30 countries are participating in the programme, Shrestha added. The outstanding performer will receive an award of 1,000 US Dollar.
