Kathmandu, Nov 14 (RSS): CPN (UML) general-secretary Ishwar Pokharel has expressed the confidence that the people will give the responsibility of governing the country to the leftist alliance this time around for securing economic development and prosperity by establishing political stability.
Speaking in the election publicity programme organized by the UML Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3, Basundhara area committee here today, he said the election manifesto of the leftist alliance has outlined the solid basis for the development of various industries by ending existing poverty, backwardness and class disparity.
Stressing on the need of resolving the problem of unemployment for bringing about social transformation, leader Pokharel, who is the candidate to the House of Representatives election from Kathmandu constituency-5, said the Nepali Congress-led governments in the past took many potential industries to bankruptcy in the name of privatization.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Ward No 3 chairman Deepak KC and another ward chairman Krishna Chalise urged the voters to not go after the rumours spread by the Nepali Congress against the leftist alliance.
