Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Biswokarma has stressed on the need of technical education for the country’s development and progress. Inaugurating the newly-constructed building of Bhairab secondary school at Rainas municiplaity-9, Mohariyakot on Wednesday, he said the technical education would pave the way towards attaining economic prosperity. “Sports sector has been contributing to spread good name of the society and country in the global arena”, he noted. Adequate budget has been allocated for sports, he shared, adding the government was moving ahead to construct an international standard stadium in each state. Also speaking on the occasion, state assembly member duo Mayanath Adhikari and Dhananjaya Dawadi and Chief District Officer Laxman Bahadur Khadka, among others also highlighted the need of technical vocational education to take the country to the path of prosperity. A well-equipped four-storied school building was constructed at the cost of Rs 830 million with the financial assisatcne of Chinese government, shared school management committee chair and Rainas municiplaity mayor Singha Bahadur Thapa. The school building has total 68 rooms including 30 classrooms, 20 hostel rooms and 10 teachers/staff room. The 2015 earthquake had devastated the school which was established in 2014 BS.
