Kathmandu— During a meeting chaired by Speaker Vijender Gupta, the Delhi Legislative Assembly's Business Advisory Committee decided that two Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports and three key Bills would be introduced during the Monsoon Session from August 7 to 11, 2026. The session will focus on public services delivery, electricity regulation, and urban shelter improvement.
Reports Laid Before the House
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is scheduled to lay two CAG reports before the Delhi Legislative Assembly during the Monsoon Session. The first report covers the financial year ended March 31, 2023, while the second addresses state finances for the fiscal year 2024-2025. These documents are crucial for assessing the government's financial health and accountability.
Bills to Be Introduced
Three significant Bills will be introduced during the session, each aimed at improving various aspects of governance in Delhi. The first Bill seeks to repeal an outdated Act from 2011 and establish a new framework for ensuring timely delivery of public services. Another Bill proposes amendments to the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board Act to enhance urban planning and development. Lastly, a bill will repeal an existing bed-and-breakfast establishment regulation act and introduce more streamlined regulations.
