Kathmandu— Prime Minister Narendra Modi met around 45 newly elected and first-time National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Lok Sabha Members of Parliament (MPs) over breakfast at his residence on Friday. The meeting, which included MPs from various parties including the TMC, NCPI, UBT, and Shiv Sena, focused on fostering a sense of collective identity within the NDA family and working together for national development.

Collective Identity Message

Jagdish Basunia, a leader of the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI), described the meeting as highly cordial. He noted that Prime Minister Modi emphasized the collective identity of the NDA as a 'family.' 'PM told us we are all part of the NDA family. Let's work together for public welfare, the way NDA works,' Basunia said.

Regional Development Focus

NCPI MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay highlighted that the development of the North-East region was a key topic of discussion during the meeting. 'We had a conversation regarding the development of the North-East region of the nation. We will work to fulfil PM Modi's vision,' he stated.

Guidance for New MPs

The Prime Minister also provided guidance to newly elected BJP Rajya Sabha MPs on Wednesday, advising them not to get caught up in the 'web of Delhi.' He emphasized being mindful about whom they meet and how they conduct themselves. Additionally, he advised using social media with caution and maintaining dignity at all times.
