Kathmandu— Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth began a four-day official visit to Nepal today, arriving in Kathmandu at the invitation of Nepali Army (NA) Chief of Army Staff General Ashok Raj Sigdel. The five-member delegation led by General Seth was received at Tribhuvan International Airport by Vice Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Pradeep Jung KC. During his visit, General Seth is scheduled to be conferred with the honorary rank of General of the Nepali Army by President Ramchandra Paudel in a special ceremony on Monday.
Official Welcome and Delegation
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, General Seth and his delegation were formally welcomed by Lieutenant General Pradeep Jung KC, Vice Chief of Army Staff. The Indian Army Chief’s visit includes a five-member delegation accompanying him.
Honorary Rank Conferral
President Ramchandra Paudel will confer the rank of Honorary General of the Nepali Army upon General Dhiraj Seth during a special ceremony scheduled for Monday. This tradition is seen as a significant gesture of goodwill between the two nations.
The Nepali Army anticipates that these high-level visits will continue to strengthen the long-standing relationship and traditions shared between the armies of Nepal and India.
