Nepal’s Prime Minister Returns to Kathmandu After Mustang Visit

Kathmandu— Nepali Prime Minister Balendra Shah returned to Kathmandu on Wednesday after a short trip to Mustang. He arrived in the district with his family on Saturday and spent time visiting religious sites before departing via the Jomsom-Beni roadway. The prime minister’s visit included worship at the Muktinath Temple on Saturday afternoon.

Visit to Muktinath Temple

Prime Minister Shah visited the revered Muktinath Temple on Saturday afternoon, performing religious rites at the site. The temple is a significant pilgrimage destination for both Hindus and Buddhists in Nepal.

Details of the worship ceremony were not immediately available.

Departure from Mustang

The Prime Minister departed Mustang via the Jomsom-Beni roadway on Wednesday. Santosh Bashyal, an information officer at the District Police Office, confirmed Shah’s departure.

No further details regarding the purpose of the visit or future plans were released.
