Kathmandu— At least seven Palestinians were killed across Gaza on Tuesday due to ongoing Israeli strikes, violating the ceasefire established last October, according to local medical sources. The attacks included a drone strike in Khan Younis and a strike on a home near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, while an overnight military action destroyed a warehouse containing essential nutrition supplies for vulnerable populations – children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers – further jeopardizing the already dire humanitarian situation.

Aid Warehouse Destroyed

An Israeli military strike overnight into Tuesday completely destroyed a warehouse storing vital nutrition supplies in Gaza. The facility belonged to Ard El Insan (AEI), a local humanitarian organization working with Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) to support approximately 60 medical points serving up to 100 women and children daily. MAP reported that the explosion caused large sections of the building, including the roof and walls, to collapse, burying the supplies under rubble and rendering them unfit for human consumption. Sahar Salem, AEI’s project coordinator, stated that losing these quantities is “a major blow” to their work and will affect their ability to reach those in need.

Healthcare System on the Brink

The head of Gaza’s Ministry of Health warned of a “complete collapse of the basic necessities of life,” citing critical oxygen supply shortages. Director-General Dr Munir al-Bursh told Al Jazeera that Israel continues to escalate attacks and violate the ceasefire, which he described as existing only in statements but not in reality. He noted that only 12 of around 34 oxygen stations remain operational, warning that any further breakdowns could cut off oxygen to patients. “If this oxygen supply stops, these people will die,” Dr. al-Bursh said.

Recent Casualties and Ongoing Violence

Three Palestinians were killed and others injured in a strike on a home in Beit Lahiya near Kamal Adwan Hospital on Tuesday, according to a source at al-Shifa Hospital. Earlier that day, a drone strike in Khan Younis’s al-Mawasi area killed one civilian and injured three more. Additionally, Al Jazeera Arabic correspondent Nour Khaled reported that three other Palestinians died from wounds sustained in earlier Israeli raids on Khan Younis – two from injuries suffered Monday and one approximately two weeks prior.

Despite US President Donald Trump's call for Israel to halt attacks, the violence continues to escalate in Gaza, with critical infrastructure damaged and a severe humanitarian crisis deepening. The situation remains extremely challenging for civilians, particularly women and children.
