Kathmandu— A flash flood triggered by heavy rainfall in Rasuwa District traveled down the Trishuli and Narayani rivers, reaching the Narayanghat area of Chitwan at approximately 3:45 pm today. The flood carried debris including wood and other materials, but initial reports indicate no human or physical damage within the district as of this afternoon.
Flood Origin and Path
The flash flood originated in Rasuwa District before flowing through the Trishuli River and eventually entering the Narayani River. It then continued southward, reaching the Narayanghat area carrying a significant amount of debris.
Local Response and Monitoring
Ganesh Adhikari, the Chief District Officer (CDO) of Chitwan, stated that authorities are maintaining constant vigilance regarding the flood situation and potential risks. So far, no casualties or property damage have been reported within the district.
Officials continue to monitor the river’s flow as the water moves further south.
