Kathmandu— Following a series of devastating flash floods along the Bhotekoshi River in Nepal, India has dispatched 10 tonnes of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) materials, including essential medicines, to aid in the ongoing rescue response. The aid was sent to support Nepal’s efforts to address the crisis and provide assistance to those affected by the flooding. Indian Minister for External Affairs Dr. S Jaishankar expressed solidarity with Nepal through a social media post.
Immediate Response
The provision of 10 tonnes of HADR materials represents an immediate response from India to the disaster in Nepal. The supplies are intended to bolster rescue operations and provide critical support to those impacted by the floods, which have caused significant damage and displacement.
