Kathmandu— The State Grid reported on Thursday that power supply has been restored to the core area of the mudslide-hit Gyirong Port in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. Despite ongoing risks such as landslides and frequent rockfalls, frontline personnel worked continuously to restore temporary power lines by 8 p.m. on Thursday.

Restoration Efforts

Frontline workers faced significant challenges including the risk of further landslides and rockfalls while working around the clock to restore power in the core area of Gyirong Port. The State Grid's efforts culminated in the restoration of temporary power lines by Thursday evening.

Road Access

Earlier on Wednesday, road access to the core area of the port was largely restored, paving the way for further recovery operations and the resumption of normal activities at Gyirong Port.
