Chief Justice agreed to form the bench on the basis of seniority

Kathmandu June 1: Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana has agreed to form a constitutional bench on the basis of seniority.

In a meeting with a team including Supreme Court Bar council, Chairman Purnaman Shakya, Chief Justice Rana agreed to form a bench within a week on the basis of seniority.

In a meeting with the representatives of the Supreme Court Bar on Tuesday, Rana informed that he would change the rules of procedure of the Supreme Court.
Officials of the Supreme Court met Chief Justice Rana on Tuesday morning and suggested that the constitutional session be conducted without any controversy. They suggested that a base bench of seniority judges could be formed.
“The chief justice has agreed to form a constitutional bench on the basis of seniority by amending the rules of procedure,” Supreme Court Chairman Purnaman Shakya told reporters after meeting with Chief Justice Rana.
