Kathmandu— On Sunday, Ukrainian forces launched a series of drone strikes deep inside Russian territory, targeting military bases, energy facilities, and civilian infrastructure. The attacks resulted in at least eight deaths and numerous injuries, according to local officials. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that these actions were in response to ongoing Russian aggression.

Targeted Attacks Across Russia

The Ukrainian military reported hitting an oil refinery in Saratov and a military base housing long-range bombers in Engels, both of which are located far from the front lines. In addition to these strategic targets, two people were killed when drones struck residential buildings in Engels on the Volga River, while another apartment complex was damaged in nearby Saratov City. Local officials also reported three deaths and two injuries in the Udmurtia region and three more fatalities along with five injured individuals in Belgorod.

Wildberries Warehouses Under Attack

Ukraine continued its campaign against the online retailer Wildberries, targeting a logistics warehouse in Samara. This attack is part of a broader strategy to disrupt Russia's economy and undermine public support for President Vladimir Putin’s war efforts. Since July 18th, Kyiv has targeted nearly a dozen Wildberries warehouses across Russia. Despite no reported casualties at the latest strike site, local management confirmed that a fire had been brought under control.

The ongoing conflict shows no signs of abating as Ukraine intensifies its efforts to retaliate against Russian aggression by striking deep into enemy territory.
