Kathmandu— On Wednesday, China's Ministry of Commerce announced countermeasures against six U.S. entities in retaliation for the United States' sanctions on Chinese firms under allegations of 'forced labor.' The decision took effect immediately and prohibits any transactions or cooperation with these entities within China.
Countermeasure Details
The countermeasures target Applied DNA Sciences, Inc., Stratum Reservoir, LLC., Altana Technologies, Inc., Responsible Business Alliance, Verite Group, Inc., and Human Rights in China. These organizations are accused of assisting the U.S. government's sanctions against Chinese companies operating in Xinjiang.
According to the ministry’s statement, these entities have supported the United States' unlawful actions that violate international law and norms, severely impacting China's sovereignty, security, and development interests.
