Kathmandu December 26.This year’s Lekhnath Journalism Award is to be presented to Basudev Poudel, a correspondent for Rastriya Samachar Samiti Gandaki State office from Pokhara. The award instituted by Lekhnath Journalists Forum, carries a purse of Rs 11,111 along with a letter of appreciation. Poudel will be provided with the award in recognition of his contribution to the development of Lekhnath area through the means of journalism, shared Forum’s Chair Bhimpani Baral. The award selection committee comprising Forum chair Baral, secretary Bishnuhari Poudel, former chair of Lekhnath chamber of commerce and industry Laxmi Prasad Tripathee, Pokhara metropolitan city;’s representative Rammani Adhikari and adviser Bharat Prasad Tiwari took the decision to award journalist Poudel.
