Kathmandu January 12.The national gathering of Bishwakarma Society concluded in Gaindakot of Nawalpur district, issuing the 17-point Gaindakot declaration. The gathering agreed on the constitution of a 21-member central secretariat, deciding to draft a new statute for the organisation and organise a national convention within a year, the Society said. The declaration promises to make additional efforts to make sure the protection of identity, art and culture of Bishwakarma people who belong to the Dalit community and the promotion of their rights to inclusion. The Society is to work out on its plan of forming a national federation by integrating various castes under the Dalit community in the future
