Kathmandu May 28:
The folks of Karnali State coming from the Indian cities have been provided with meals at Chhinchu of Surkhet from the State government. Information Officer at Internal Affairs and Law Ministry, Krishna Bahadur Rokaya, said that per day 2,000 individuals would be offered meals from today and the provision is made accordingly. “The Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Ministry of Karnali State has supplied foodstuffs. Cooking and all other works are done by the volunteers of Nepal Army, UNICEF, FAO, Save the Children and other social organizations,” he added. Earlier, Chief Minister of Karnali State Mahendra Bahadur Shahi had directed the Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Ministry to immediately provide the India returnees with meals and water. The officials said that around 1,000 to 4,000 individuals are coming to Karnali State from India on daily basis since May 21.
